The Engagement

Michael and Krupa knew without a shadow of a doubt that they would one day marry. Although, it’s been a couple of years since the couple met, to them it feels like everything is happening so fast. It must be true what they say, time flies when your having fun!

The couple knew marriage was in their future, but it was the “when” that was unknown. When would the romantic gentleman pop the question?? Each time the couple would go out for dinner, the eager Krupa would think to herself, "This is it! He's going to do it! He's proposing tonight!" Then dinner would progress. Dessert would come and go. The bill would be paid. And they would leave without a beautiful ring on Krupa’s
finger.

This guessing game went on for about a month until one day Krupa finally had enough of herself! She decided there would be no more of the, "When is he going to propose?" guessing game. It would happen when it happened! That was that!

The Night he popped the question…

To celebrate their one-year anniversary as an official couple, Krupa and Michael decided to patron the same restaurant they enjoyed on their fist date, Season 52. The romantic Michael was acting a bit out of character, but Krupa, with her new perspective, thought nothing of it. In honor of their anniversary, both Krupa and Michael had gifts and cards, which they planned on exchanging at dinner. A proposal was far from her mind.

Michael picked Krupa up at home, and off they went. A table decorated with a rose, 2 champagne glasses, and a card was waiting for the couple. The staff was so wonderful. So much so that Krupa felt the need to cover her ring finger afraid they thought the dinner was to celebrate a wedding anniversary rather than a “dating” anniversary. Michael wanted to exchange gifts there at Season 52. Krupa, feeling a bit uncomfortable wanted to do the exchange after leaving the restaurant. But Michael insisted, and Krupa reluctantly agreed. After exchanging cards, Michael placed a ring box on the table. She thought, “Wow, he’s not even going to get on his knee?” So unlike the romantic man she had fallen for. He said, “Open it.” She did. She saw a sparkling diamond, small but a diamond! Yay? Not only was it small, but it certainly didn’t look like a ring. She pulled it out only to discover it was a nose ring. What a tease! The night continued at the restaurant. Afterwards, the couple went to chat and relax at a waterfall area just outside Season 52. The time seemed to pass quickly, and Krupa didn’t want the beautiful evening to end. Little did she know, it hadn’t even begun.

As the chilly night wore on, Michael asked if Krupa was cold. Although she was a bit chilly Krupa answered, “No.” Knowing how Michael is always prepared, Krupa rhetorically asked, “Why? Do you have a blanket for me?” “As a matter of fact, I do,” Michael replied. Standing before her, he unfolded a blanket which read, “WILL YOU MARRY ME?.” In shock, Krupa sat still as he placed the blanket on her lap, over her cold hands and legs. He got down on one knee and said, “Krupa Vinod Vora, give me your hand.” Still in shock she hadn’t realized her hands were under the blanket, being squeezed by her knees. He took her hand and continued, “Krupa, it was hard keeping this surprise from you!” Then he said, “Ever since we met, I’ve wanted to get to know you. And from the moment we started dating, I knew you were the woman I’ve waited all my life for. I couldn’t think of anyone else I would want to spend the rest of my life with. I will always keep you warm and try my best to keep you happy. Will you do me the honor and make me the happiest person on Earth. Will you marry me?”

With tears streaming down, Krupa answered, “Yes! I will marry you.” Michael then slipped a most dreamy and beautiful diamond ring on Krupa’s finger. Cheers of joy came from Season 52’s staff as they looked on through a window. Krupa and Michael were showered with even more cheers of joy from family and friends as they shared their exciting news of their unforgettable night.
